Many people are unaware that if their unclaimed funds are not recovered within a certain time frame, by operation of the law, the government gets to keep them? Approximately 1 in 10 people have unclaimed property! That is both amazing and unfortunate at that same time. There are literally billions of dollars in unclaimed property, held by governments and treasuries within the U.S.A.
The purpose of unclaimed property laws is to protect the public by ensuring money and property owed to them is returned to them, rather than unknowingly abandoned or surrendered permanently to financial institutions, business associations, governments, and other entities.
Pursuant to jurisdictional regulations Out West Legal Funds is authorized to assist in the effort to unite claimants with their unclaimed funds.

Please call us and one of our representatives would be more than happy to explain the nature of your claim. Once you have signed our contingency fee agreement, we’ll be happy to disclose where the funds have been located!
Honestly, if you could, you wouldn't be here. We say that jokingly. However, keep in mind that the more anonymous your unclaimed funds remain, the more likely it is that the deadline for you to claim your unclaimed funds will expire. Having said that, governmental agencies we audit typically DO NOT post these unclaimed funds accounts online. In most cases, the provides that they are not obligated to notify beyond the prescribed "reasonable attempts." You are welcome to search state unclaimed funds websites, and you can likely find money owed to you or someone you know. Although these websites are great tools, you won’t find the claim you were contacted about there. Not all claims are easy to find, and a considerable amount of time and resources have been spent gathering the many details of your claim.
The agencies holding the assets often have many specific requirements that must be followed for proving your entitlement to the claim and submitting your request to recover your asset. They don't make it easy, primarily due to fraud prevention efforts, but also because you are left your funds unclaimed in their custody, whether you knew about it or not, and the government must allocate employees to manage those unclaimed funds on behalf of missing owners. Managing your unclaimed funds is a cost to the government and taxpayers. As a result, these agencies can sometimes prove to be very difficult to work with in their response times, legal process requirements, and paying you your money. After all, for all the work they have done thus far holding and managing your money, they stand to keep the money if you do not follow their rules and meet their deadlines. Our staff and attorneys have the experience necessary to navigate the bureaucratic and slow turning processes of the government holding the funds, because we know precisely what needs to be done to claim your funds.
We keep your information 100% private and confidential. We do not sell or exchange your information to anyone outside of our organization.

What is one legal way to keep assets such as your money, house, cars, and identity safely protected? If you said, "a Trust", then you are right! Now, let’s talk, in brief detail, about what a trust is, what it does, and the different types that exist.
The old-English 1828 Webster's Dictionary defines a Trust as a means of transferring or giving credit to someone or something, to commit something to a person's care for use or management, and for which an account must be made. In laymen's terms, a Trust is the act of taking what is yours, entrusting it someone else who agrees to be responsible for holding, managing, or even possibly using it to.
A Trust allows you to hold your property in a "Job-like" entity, separate from yourself. Through a Trust you can protect your property from liabilities that you incur, your property can be deregistered out of your name and registered into the name of the Trust, and like a Will, a Trust streamlines the inheritance process for your spouse and/or children. Yes, a Trust is that simple. All a Trust needs is a 1. Property, 2. (Grantor(s) (Property Owner), 3. Trustee(s) (Property Managers), 4. Beneficiaries (Inheritors of the Property). There are many types of trusts; a major distinction between them is whether they are revocable or irrevocable.
Revocable trusts, known as a living trust, can help you to retain control of the assets during your (the grantor's) lifetime. It is flexible and can be dissolved at any time, should your circumstances or intentions change. A revocable trust typically becomes irrevocable upon the death of the grantor. You can name yourself trustee (or co-trustee) and retain ownership and control over the trust, its terms and assets during your lifetime, but make provisions for a successor trustee to manage them in the event of your incapacity or death.
Irrevocable trusts typically transfer your assets out of your (the grantor's) estate and potentially out of the reach of estate tax, creditors, and legal judgements against you. Its terms and conditions cannot be altered by the you (the grantor) after it has been executed. Therefore, once you establish the trust, you will lose control over the assets, and you cannot change any terms or decide to dissolve the trust. There are many types of Trusts. We may be able to help you pick the right one for you.
